A slow day on Phillip Island
Some of the best things to do on Phillip Island aren’t really things at all, but rhythms - warm water, sea air, long lunches, firelight. This is one of our favourite ways a day can unfold.
Begin slowly at Verandah
Ease into the morning with coffee on the verandah, sea air drifting in, and no reason to rush the day.
Begin with warmth
Then head to Wellbeing Elements for traditional cedar sauna, infrared sauna, mineral bathing and a cold plunge - the kind of ritual that leaves the whole day feeling softer.
Linger over lunch
Find somewhere for a long, unhurried lunch, or gather provisions to bring back to the house - bread still warm, olives, and something chilled for later on the verandah.
Follow the light
Spend the afternoon by the sea. A low-tide walk, salt on skin, perhaps a slow return home with nowhere urgent to be.
Come back to firelight
As dusk settles, return to Verandah. Brew a pot of herbal tea, light the fire in winter, settle into soft linen, and enjoy that particular hush that arrives after a day spent outdoors.
