4. Isola Di Capri Gelateria and Restaurant Cowes
Isola has been operating on the island since 1972 so if you have been to the island you will no doubt remember this building on the corner of the esplanade. Our favourites are the clam pasta, wood fired prawn pizza + tiramisu. If you're looking for friendly service and delightful fresh homemade Italian food, you must visit this family owned restaurant. Open year round.

5. Cafe Lugano Cowes
Cafe Lugano is one of those unsuspecting cafes that seems to nail it everytime. Their chef is humble and delivers exceptional fresh and honest food, fairly priced and nice and quick. Its not a huge cafe but children friendly with high chairs and some toys and a nice garden area out the back to sit if the sun is shining. One of our regular favourites for a happy holiday breakfast.

6. The Big Fish Cowes
The Big Fish overlooks the water on the esplanade in Cowes and the owners are passionate about fresh local produce. The menu is simple and usually limited to around 5 items - which are all done to perfection, Fresh caught local fish, homemade dim sims, chips, potato cakes + prawn dumplings are all favourites. The batter is a secret family gluten free recipe and is hands down the best fish and chips on the island.
